Nassau Broadcasting adds $4,000 to hate crime award
Article Abstract:
Nassau Broadcasting Partners President and CEO Louis F. Mercatanti Jr. has raised money through his fifteen radio stations as part of a reward for the arrest of those responsible for cutting a 130 foot swastika in a Washington Township, NJ, cornfield. The money matches the $5,000 reward offered by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and Gov. Whitman for information leading to the arrest of the yet-unidentified racist group, bringing the total reward money up to $15,000. Mercatanti announced that Nassau Broadcasting was proud to be a part of the growing Nassau interfaith, multi-racial coalition that has joined together to fight bias and discrimination in New Jersey.
