A tale of the bones: Animal use in the temple and town of Wah-Sut
Article Abstract:
Archaeologists increasingly study animal remains recovered from excavation sites of Egypt to understand food procurement in ancient Egypt. A study of the animal refuse deposits uncovered in Senwosret III's mortuary temple at South Abydos and the town of Wah-Sut provide a rare opportunity to study most of the phases of Middle Kingdom food processing.

Egypt's well-to-do elite mansions in the town of Wah-Sut
Article Abstract:
The southwest sector of Wah-Sut (Mayor's House), the excavations of which exposed a series of elite mansions, is investigated to understand how ancient people organized themselves and how social relationships played out through daily routine. A thorough description of such mansions that housed high-ranking officials is presented.
