Gifts of the desert
Article Abstract:
How the nomads of the eastern Sahara inspired the shape of the Egyptian pyramids is discussed. The cross-fertilization of these cultures triggered the rise of Egyptian civilization. The idea of building the pyramids probably came from knowledge of the endurance of this desert landform, and the nomads imported desert knowledge into the Nile Valley of ancient Egypt.
