The Music Never Stopped: Roots of the Grateful Dead
Article Abstract:
The Music Never Stopped: Roots of the Grateful Dead, which is produced by Henry Kaiser and David Gans, is a CD album that gives a substantial introduction to the music traditions of the Grateful Dead. However, this does not contain any Grateful Dead songs. Instead, it features earlier recorded versions of songs by artists such as reverend gary Davis, Obray Ramsey, Merle Haggard, Bob Dylan and Buddy Holly, who inspired their music and repertoire.
