Robert L. Schuyler, associate curator-in-charge of the Museum's Historical Archaeology Section shares his views on archaeology and his excavating project site in Vineland, New Jersey. His interest changed from paleontology to archaeology after his visits to Yale University's Peabody Museum and his reading of National Geographic magazine.
