Treasures of Tanis
Article Abstract:
The treasures discovered in the late 1930s and early 1940s from the ancient city of Tanis, northeast of Cairo, yielded four gold masks, solid silver coffins, and spectacular jewelry. These royal riches discovered during the World War II are regarded as the one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time.
