DesignTex moves its New York textile showroom to a flexible, spacious downtown warehouse renovated by Lee Stout
Article Abstract:
An industrial building with a 30,000-sq.-ft. floor at 200 Varick, New York, NY, houses the new showroom of DesignTex, a textile and wallcovering company. Architect Lee Stout transformed the former printing press floor into a cost-effective textile showroom. This doubles as a general office and design studio which is readily accessible to customers who may want to sample the different fabrics. A conference room and a computerized custom-sampling room were also added for customer convenience.
