Article Abstract:
The Netherlands became a trading empire when routes to Africa and the Americas developed. The Dutch economy and cultural life flourished while they influenced their colonies taste, custom and culture. The public is invited to see more Dutch architecture in the New York metropolitan area.

Edgefield Bed-and-Breakfast
Article Abstract:
Daniel Marshall Wood has succeeded in turning an old 1860s Greek Revival house into an inn modeled after an English country house. He bought the house in Jan 1996 and spent the months of May through September remodelling it. In Oct 1996, Edgefield was opened to guests.

The Densmore House and Gardens
Article Abstract:
The Densmore House is a 15-room plantation-style house in downtown Charleston, SC. It was built in 1809 and has a central hallway and was originally a double house. It was also one of the first historic houses to be restored by the Historic Charleston Foundation.
