Horst Inc is a company that represents office furniture products made from environmental materials. It is has also ventured in the design and marketing of products manufactured by the companies it represents. Its VegTable collection includes conference tables, desk units and work tables made of Environ, a Phenix Biocomposites product. Environ is 40% soybeans, 20% all-natural materials such as oils, resins and pigments and 40% recycled newsprint. Cleaning is easily done through the use of biodegradable, non-abrasive cleanser.

Erez Steinberg of the Oakland, CA-based environmental-friendly Studio eg firm designed the EcoWork modular office system which produces panels, tables, workstations and shelves from recycled, organic and recovered materials. Four basic materials, wheat, recycled newspapers, cardboard and rubber, are used to produce office furniture. EcoWork personifies Studio eg's holistic philosophy to design, develop, produce and package products in a manner which will benefit instead of harm the community.

Architect David Hertz has developed a new, environment-friendly cement-based composite that is handcrafted, precast and lightweight. Mainly used for table tops, basins and planters, and reception desks, Syndecrete is constructed from a combination of industrial waste sources, recycled aggregates, water, sand and cement. It can be resold or altered for new applications, repaired or drilled in the field and is easy to transport and install.
