Midtown camp
Article Abstract:
Chop Suey Looey's Litchi Lounge in New York, NY, needed a restaurant design that would serve as a suitable setting for its signature drinks. Though the restaurant provides Chinese cuisine, the drinks are the main attraction because of their flamboyant presentation. Designer Sam Lopata built on a Chinese garden theme and created a space which featured synthetic trimmed hedges, Chinese lanterns, a green astrturf floor finish and dominantly red walls and ceilings. The simplicity of the overall design made a perfect foil for the drinks' colorful artistry.
