Recording studios: Broadway Sound and Broadway Video Duplication, NYC
Article Abstract:
Audio-visual design specialists The Downtown Group designed the new 7,500 sq.-ft. additional space of the Broadway Sound and Broadway Video Duplication in Manhattan, NY. The overall design focused on the aesthetics of sound with the duplicating room at the core of the structure and the reception room and recording studios revolving around it. Technical and acoustical requirements resulted in geometric and modernist angles in the recording studios. A window overlooking Times Square serves as a reminder of the world outside for clients cooped up in a long duplicating or recording session.
