A zen dragon

Article Abstract:

Architect Rick Mather incorporated Oriental influences in the interiors of the Now & Zen restaurant located in London's West End district. The central features of the design include a glass dragon made up of rough-cast glass bowls which stream water from one bowl to the next and a curving mezzanine. The graceful mezzanine contrasts with the glass, steel and bright lights of the interior. Colorful highlights consolidate the design from one level to the next, while providing the accent for certain areas.

Outside insights

Article Abstract:

The Brobeck Phleger and Harrison law offices in Los Angeles, CA, features a design which establishes the firm's progressive image and status. The designers created an interior design which reflects the Kohn Pederson Fox building's exterior design elements without replicating them. The result is an office where forms and textures subtly echo the outside through the use of Italian marble, horizontal reveals and custom and stock furnishings.
