Resolve to make a difference
Article Abstract:
Interior design professionals should take advantage of many opportunities to advance public awareness of their profession. Clients and potential clients should be made aware of designers' contributions to their businesses that can result in improved productivity and efficiency. Some overlooked opportunities include commenting on designs of stores and businesses since they affect people in everyday life, expanding relationships with sales representatives and existing clients and writing letters to the editors of local publications.

Unity for survival
Article Abstract:
The future of the architecture and interior design communities lies in cooperative efforts to integrate the use of resources. Since clients have shifted to more turn-key results rather than contract administration, designers should engage in cooperation to develop new paradigms to ensure the future of the community. Design services should be expanded to cover even the periphery requirements of clients.
