San Francisco's Octagon House

The Octagon House in San Francisco, CA is one of the only two existing octagon houses. It currently serves as the headquarters of California's Colonial Dames of America and a museum of decorative arts. Collections include samples of American furniture, portraits, pewters, and ceramics.

Refined and rustic

Karen Burroughs and her husband Gary Hayre live in a Colonial-style house in Ashton, MD, that they furnish with carefully selected antique furniture and objects. The house was built in the 1960s but was made to look like the houses in the 1700s.
