Soft touch, hard sell
Article Abstract:
Industrial designer Chris Murray, textile designer Annette O'Toole, and graphic designer Zara Huddleston held two design seminars in Czechoslovakia in October 1990. The UK team were impressed by the standards and creative talents of students at design schools in Prague and Zlin and the displays of work showed professionalism. Although students showed creative talent, they were seen to require more experience in business and organisational skills in order to transform Czechoslovakia's design industry.
