The World AIDS conference is unlike any other conference in that individuals from different backgrounds, beliefs, and nations come together. AIDS has claimed almost 12 million lives worldwide. In many of the developing nations, the virus is spreading unchecked. India has more than 4 mil people with this disease. Africa south of the Sahara is estimated to have 21 mil people living with AIDS. The disease has reached national epidemic levels in South Africa.

Raynaud's phenomenon (RP) is a physical condition that is commonly found in young women. RP involves the spasmatic actions of blood vessels in the hands or toes following exposure to cold elements. RP alone is not dangerous, but it can sometimes flare up alongside an autoimmune disease such as lupus.
