Erick Hawkins remembered
Article Abstract:
Various dancers who worked with the choreographer Erick Hawkins reminisce about him. They praise his ability to grasp in his work the grandeur of nature and feel his key breakthrough was dynamics. Art was to Hawkins a metaphor for life and his work also expressed a link to something eternal. Hawkins' work exemplified a balancing of opposities to gain a deeper Zen glimpse of real life.
