An affordable trip to weightless space

Article Abstract:

Florida-based Zero Gravity Corp. is offering a taste of spaceflight for less than $3,000. The space experience isn't in the space-it's a jet-powered Boeing 727-200 airplane high above Florida. The project, which marks the first time weightless flights have been made available to commercial customers in the United States.

NASA'a roller coaster into space: flying with the Reduced Gravity Program Students

Article Abstract:

NASA has designed an airplane for the training of astronauts on reduced gravity. The KC-135 has been dubbed the "vomit comet" due to its dizzying capabilities which is noted. Students from the University of Illinois give the Reduced Gravity Student Opportunities program a try and details of the simulation are given.

Working the high frontier

Article Abstract:

Analysis is provided on NASA's KC-135 aircraft designed to provide simulated space flight and one which is known for its ability to cause motion-sickness in passengers. The design of this aircraft is noted as well as the plans NASA has for it.
