Twenty-three teams of undergraduate college students participated the 1997 NASA Reduced Gravity Student Flight Opportunity. They designed and performed experiments in the reduced-gravity environment, and discussed findings with teachers, students and the public.

Making a comet in the classroom
Article Abstract:
An effective alternative to study comets in the classroom is to create a model. The activity requires no special equipment, ingredient or special skill. Ingredients needed to make a comet model include water, dry ice, sand, ammonia and dark corn syrup.

STARDUST: a rendezvous with a comet

NASA will launch on February 12, 1999 a space mission called Stardust which aims to collect a sample of dust from the comet Wild 2. The Stardust mission expects to yield vital information regarding the formation and composition of comets.
