India's space program that has international partnership with several state agencies, though tempered by technological limitations, might lead to more investment in military applications. India could make optimal use of its space assets by building dedicated military satellites for its national defense requirements, and pursuing international ventures with the world's advanced space agencies, and developing countries, thereby boosting its political ties with these states.

Russia: Phoenix rising or lion in winter?

Russia's space power status has increased symmetrically with the US space program stumbling and is mostly noted in its savior-mode successes for the International Space Station (ISS). The Russian military space forces commander Anatoly Perminov has disclosed that Russia's existing deployment of satellite constellations meet only 26% of the country's needs and funding of future replacement vehicles is supposed to raise that level to 51% by 2010 and to 90% by 2015.
