The second annual National Space Society-sponsored International Lunar Exploration Conference was held in San Diego, CA, on November, 1995. The conference focused on what the government, aerospace industry, ordinary citizens and the academe could do to promote lunar exploration.

Lunar prospector: NASA returns to the Moon
Article Abstract:
The National Aeronautics Space Administration (NASA) will launch on January 6, 1998 a 4 foot, 660 pound spacecraft called Lunar Prospector to the Moon. The lunar mission, the first after twenty five years, will undertake mapping and analysis of the Moon's resources.

Lunar Prospector: NASA's first lunar mission in 23 years
Article Abstract:
NASA chose the Lunar Prospector as its first community-proposed mission under the Discovery Program. Discovery programs should be launched 36 months after selection, cost less than $150 million and should have focused scientific goals.
