Russian saviors?
Article Abstract:
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Galileo space probe is in trouble due to its inability to deploy its long-range communications antenna. The Russians are poised to helpby sending out a probe of its own to relay the Galileo's data to earth, but NASA officials are reluctant to accept their help.

The exploration of Mars is still in its rudimentary stages and, therefore, the horrors of dust storms, back contamination, radiation hazards and zero gravity preoccupy popular imagination. These are, however, purely illusory phenomena which could be disproven once exploration proceeds.
