Space Medicine: medication use in the US manned spaceflight program
Article Abstract:
Medical events affecting an otherwise healthy crew of astronauts are relatively common. Around 83% of the crew members of the first 33 shuttle missions took medications at some time during the missions. Issues concerning the use of pharmacologic remedies during space missions are presented.
