What they did to John Glenn: an overview of STS-95 experiments

The objective of US Sen and presidential contender Glenn's second flight aboard space shuttle Discovery in Oct 1998 was to find out the similarities between aging and the effects of spaceflight. His experiments included investigations on sleep and neurosensory disturbances.

In it for the long haul: buying time on the Extended Duration Orbiter

Article Abstract:

NASA's Extended Duration Orbiter project will allow scientists to utilize the US's fleet of space shuttles to get a better understanding of how weightlessness affects humans. These studies can help minimize the risks of returning to Earth after prolonged stays in space.
