1963 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport
Article Abstract:
Chevrolet developed the Grand Sports, the so-called 'lightweight Corvettes,' in 1963, and it was assumed they would make excellent racing cars. Those that were raced did prove competitive, but there were difficulties. The history of '001,' the first Grand Sport, is presented.
