1999 Toyota Solara SE V-6: morphing the Camry into a competitive sports coupe

Toyota Motor Sales has unveiled its 1999 Toyota Solara SE V-6 sports car which offers enhanced features and performance. The sports car has been based on a Camry platform with considerable modifications. The racing automobile has a list price of $21,500 while a $24,600 price when tested.

The Senior Championship Racing Assn (SCRA) is a new organization established by racing greats such as Bobby Allison, Mario Andretti and Bob Bondurant. The current objective of the SCRA is to create a new series similar to the IROC or the TransAm.
