Red squirrels rule!
Article Abstract:
Red Squirrels are found in northeastern United States, Alaska, Canada and from Montana to New Mexico. They can locate cones and seeds buried up to 30 centimeters underground. When a predator appears they will sound an alarm with a series of squeaks and barks that may last up to an hour.

Derby-Day dreams: when soap-box hopefuls gravitate toward Akron
Article Abstract:
The Soap Box Derby championship race has been held in Akron, OH since 1936. There is a welcoming parade at the beginning of Derby Week, then the participants are taken to a YMCA camp until the race that will culminate the week. The 1991 event is described.
