The 1997 Mercedes-Benz SL 500 features excellent ergonomics and acceleration. The SL, however, pales in comparison with the 1997 Jaguar XK8 Convertible in terms of styling, appearance and cruising. Moreover, the XK8 has a base price of only $69,900, which is $20,000 less than that of the SL.
