Lancia Stratos: the mighty maverick from Turin

Lancia has launched the prototype of the racing car Stratos HF in late 1997. Production started rolling in Apr 1972 and official assembly continued until May 1975, with a total production of 457 units. The V-8 powered, 2155-lb car accelerates to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds and to 100 in 17.6 seconds.

A long-term test of the Toyota RAV4 mini sport-utility vehicle demonstrated that the car's appearance was deceiving. Skepticism about its diminutive size and toylike styling disappeared when it proved capable of providing excellent ride for four people with plenty of room for their packages.
