Article Abstract:
A 1996 Audi A4 Quattro loaded with accessories and costing $30,995 elicited uniform praise for its styling and road performance. However, its 3-year, 40,000-mile test run was marred by too many equipment failures, including a transmission failure at 30,000 miles that could have cost $10,000 to fix.
