The Pontiac Bonneville SSEi augments the Basic SE with a supercharged V-6 and almost too much flash and gadgetry. The $28,600 SSEi is roomy and performs solidly, but the testers would prefer a combination of the SE and SSEi.

Lexus ES300: no more pretenders on the dream team

Article Abstract:

Lexus replace the much too Camry-like ES250 with the sleeker ES300. Although it uses Camry mechanical components, it is masterfully crafted on a Lexus chassis and deserves the Lexus name. It sells for around $29,000.
