Tales of rental-car weirdness
Article Abstract:
A number of strange and hilarious stories involving rental cars and their drivers are presented. Rental cars are routinely subjected to all manners of abuse, typically involving the smelly remains of food. Renters also seem to leave items behind, such as drugs, money, and quite often lady's panties.

The Vector M12 sports car is a completely redesigned version of Jerry Wiegert's original Vector W8. The M12's new designers set out to transform the car into a more production-friendly model, one with a more affordable price tag. Cost for a new M12 has been wittled down to $199,000.

Carroll Shelby, CEO of Shelby American, has reached a deal with Oldsmobile to provide Aurora V-8 engines for his new Shelby Cobra sports car. The new Cobra model is slated to make its debut at the Detroit and Los Angeles auto shows in Jan 1997.
