Pikes Peak is a 14,000-foot summit between the Colorado flats and the Rocky Mountains that is home to the second-oldest motorsports event in the US. A move to pave the dirt road that leads to the summit threatens the integrity of the race. One participants experiences in the event are detailed.

Chevy Vortec V-8 pace truck
