The lipopolysaccharide biosynthesis locus of Campylobacter jejuni 81116
Article Abstract:
A lipopolysaccharide (LPS) gene cluster located on a 16 kb chromosomal DNA fragment of Campylobacter jejuni 81116 was cloned to study its involvement in LPS synthesis. Results showed that the 16kb region consists of 11 genes where the deduced proteins exhibit homology to proteins involved in LPS synthesis in other bacteria. It was also observed that the Wla genecluster contains three genes involved in the biosynthesis of sugars.

Cloning, sequencing and molecular analysis of the Campylobacter jejuni groESL bicistronic operon
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the cloning, sequencing and molecular features of the Campylobacter jejuni groESL bicistronic operon. The TRIzol reagent was utilized to isolate total RNA from C. jejuni cells. Experimental results indicated that the operon was characterized by encoding proteins supporting molecular masses. Findings also showed that the operon was transcribed as a bicistronic mRNA.
