Application of a specific and sensitive radiometric assay for microbial lipase activities in marine water samples from the lagoon of Noumea

Article Abstract:

A new test based on the use of a radiolabeled triglyceride as a substrate for lipase hydrolysis is designed. The result shows that the two assays respond in different ways to changes in environmental conditions and validates the need to set up more specific enzymatic assays.

Hexadecane and tween 80 stimulate lipase production in Burkholderia glumae by different mechanisms

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to find whether hexadecane and tween 80 stimulate lipase production in Burkholderia glumae. The results show that hexadecane and tween 80 enhance lipase production in Burkholderia glumae via different mechanisms.

Isolation and characterization of a novel lipase from a metagenomic library of tidal flat sediments: Evidence for a new family of bacterial lipases

Article Abstract:

A study cloned lipG, which encoded a lipolytic enzyme, from a Korean tidal flat metageomic library. LipG is related to six putative lipases identified only in bacterial genome sequences.
