Availability of childcare support and nutritional status of children of non-working and working mothers in urban Nepal
Article Abstract:
The association between availability of childcare support and the nutritional status of children of both non-working and working mothers in poor areas of Pokhara, a submetropolitan city in Nepal is examined. Unavailability of adult childcare support was associated with increased risk of malnutrition among children of both non-working and working mothers and it is suggested that childcare support from adult substitute caregivers is essential for children of non-working mothers with limited resources.

Fish consumption (hair mercury) and nutritional status of Amazonian Amer-Indian children
Article Abstract:
The impact of fish consumption (Hair Mercury) on the nutritional status of Indian children of Eastern Amazonia was studied. There was significantly higher fish consumption in Kayabi children than in children of the Munduruku villages of Missao-Cururu and Kaburua and there was no correlation between weight-for-height-z (WHZ) and Hair Mercury (HHG) concentrations.

Association of dominant somatotype of men with body structure, function during exercise, and nutritional assessment
Article Abstract:
Ectomorphs have been found to have deficits in fat-free weight and body cell mass that are correlated with functional responses during exercise. The study examined dominant somatotype as a determinant of body structure, functional responses at peak exercise and nutritional status in 63 men aged 18-40 years.
