Exhaled nitric oxide decreases upon acute exposure to high-altitude hypoxia
Article Abstract:
The study is designed to test the hypotheses that pulmonary nitric oxide (NO) decreases upon acute exposure to high-altitude hypoxia and that relatively low levels of NO at altitude are associated with greater stress as reflected in more symptoms of acute mountain sickness (AMS). Results reveal that there was no significant association between the level of NO exhaled and the number of self-reported symptoms of AMS during the brief exposure.

A new protocol for evaluating putative causes for multiple variables in a spatial setting, illustrated by its application to European cancer rates
Article Abstract:
A new method or statistical protocol is devised to analyze spatially varying data and putative explanatory variables. This method when used to test the incidence and mortality rate of 31 organ- specific and sex- specific cancers in Europe revealed that Ethnohistory is important in the determination of cancer incidence and mortality rates.

A possible link between prenatal exposure to famine and breast cancer: A preliminary study
Article Abstract:
The role of maternal undernutrition during gestation on cumulative breast-cancer incidence up to the age of 61 years is investigated. The analysis of women born around the 1944-1945 Dutch famines has indicated that prenatal famine might increase breast cancer incidence.
