Factor analysis of risk variables associated with metabolic syndrome in Asian Indian adolescents

Article Abstract:

A cross-sectional study was conducted to identify the components of risk variables associated with metabolic syndrome in Asian Indian adolescents. Principal component factor analysis revealed four uncorrelated factors that included body fat distribution, centralized subcutaneous, lipids-blood glucose and blood pressure for adolescent boys that cumulatively explained 76.3% of the observed variance of metabolic syndrome.

Secular trends in anthropometric characteristics, physical fitness, physical activity, and biological maturation in Flemish adolescents between 1969 and 2005

Article Abstract:

The cross-sectional data analysis of the samples of secondary school children belonging to Flemish adolescent group was conducted to study the secular trends in anthropometric characteristics, physical fitness, physical activity and biological activity. The physical characters like weight, stature show variation among different chronological groups.
