Purification and characterization of TrzF: Biuret hydrolysis by allophanate hydrolase supports growth
Article Abstract:
TrzF, the allophanate hydrolase from Enterobacter cloacae strain 99, was cloned, overexpressed in the presence of a chaperone protein, and purified to homogenity. TrzF showed time-dependent inhibition by phenyl phosphorodiamidate and is a member of the amidase signature protein family.

Tetracycline resistance mediated by tet(W), tet(M), and tet(O) genes of Bifidobacterium isolates from humans
Article Abstract:
MICs of tetracyclines are determined for human Bifidobacterium isolates and three environmental strains. Chromosomal DNA hybridization has indicated that there is one chromosomal copy of tet(W) and/or tet(M).
