Genetic Diversity Within and Among Four South European Native Horse Breeds Based on Microsatellite DNA Analysis: Implications for Conservation
Article Abstract:
Four Basque-Navarrese native, semiferal horse breeds were studied for genetic differentiation and diversity. Data on heterozygosity, phylogeny, and admixture are presented; findings show that the breeds are closest to three French breeds.

A Minisatellite with Fold-Back Structure is Included in the 5'-Flanking Region of the Adh Gene of Scaptodrosophila lebanonensis
Article Abstract:
Two inverted arrays, or fold-back segments, comprise a tandem repetitive sequence discovered upstream of the Scaptodrosophila lebanonensis Adh gene. The article includes a discussion regarding the sequence's possible functions.
