cAMP promotes pancreatic beta-cell survival via CREB-mediated induction of IRS2
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on CREB in pancreatic beta cells. The authors report that the mice deficient in CREB activity develop diabetes secondary to beta-cell apoptosis.
