Inhibition of NO3(super -) and NO2(super -) reduction by microbial Fe(III) reduction: Evidence of a reaction between NO2(super -) and cell surface-bound Fe(super 2+)
Article Abstract:
The inhibition of ~3 mM NO3(super -) reduction was observed during reduction of a variety of Fe(III) (hydr)oxides, including geothite, hematite, and an iron-bearing, natural sediment. Inhibition of oxygen and fumarate reduction was observed following treatment of cells with Fe(super 2+) and NO2(super -) and results showed Fe-enriched coating on cells treated with Fe(super 2+) and NO2(super -).

Adhesion, invasion, and translocation characteristics of Listeria monocytogenes serotypes in Caco-2 cell and mouse models
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on Listeria monocytogenes pathogenesis. The authors have investigated adhesion properties of L. monocytogenes serotypes which correlate with their invasion efficiencies in a mouse model and in a cell culture model, and have presented the results.
