Inositol monophosphatase regulates localization of synaptic components and behavior in the mature nervous systems of C. elegans

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to show that mutations in thermotaxis (ttx-7) cause defects in thermotaxis behavior in the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans and localization of synaptic proteins in RIA neurons in vivo. The results have suggested that myo-inositol monophosphatase (IMPase) is required in central interneurons of the mature nervous system for correct localization of synaptic components and thus for normal behavior.

Control of C. elegans hermaphrodite gonad size and shape by vab-3/Pax-6-mediated regulation of integrin receptors

Article Abstract:

Control of Caenorhabditis elegans hermaphrodite gonad size and shape by vab-3/Pax-6-mediated regulation of integrin receptors is described. It is shown that the downregulation of ina-1, an [alpha] integrin gene is necessary for distal tip cell (DTC) migration cessation and up-regulation of pat-2 is required for directionality.

Control of sex-specific apoptosis in C. elegans by the BarH homeodomain protein CEH-30 and the transcriptional repressor UNC-37/Groucho

Article Abstract:

The various effects of the BarH homeodomain protein CEH-30 and the transcriptional repressor UNC-37/Groucho on the sex-specific apoptosis in Caenorhabditis elegans are discussed.
