LODs past and present

Article Abstract:

The power of creativity and intellectual curiosity can easily overcome the obstacles surrounding seemingly impossible problems, by solving them with equally brilliant solutions, as is aptly visible in the application of genetics to the development of human welfare. DNA sampling, sequential human gene maps, polygenic inheritance methods, and the genotypic inheritance theories that were proposed in LODs to detect the human genome for health and fitness have stood the test of time and even now demonstrate their viability.

Regulation of DNA polymerase exonucleolytic proofreading activity: studies of bacteriophage T4 "antimutator" DNA polymerases

Article Abstract:

Genetic and biochemical methods have been used in conducting research on the regulation of DNA polymerase proofreading function. The location of gene mutations that generate the bacteriophage T4 antimutator phenotype plays an important role in understanding the regulation of exonucleolytic proofreading. Experimental results have shown that increased exonuclease proofreading activity in the mutant enzymes is triggered by providing more proofreading opportunity for antimutator DNA polymerases.
