Mapping of 53 Loci in American Mink (Mustela vison)

Article Abstract:

A polymerase chain reaction-based analysis was used to map genes in an American mink-Chinese hamster somatic cell hybrid panel. Four genes mapped outside expected conserved regions, while 49 localized into the expected chromosome regions. The American mink gene map now contains 127 loci.

Second-generation integrated genetic linkage/radiation hybrid maps of the domestic cat (Felis catus)

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on genetic linkage in domestic cats. The authors report the construction of the second-generation integrated genetic linkage and radiation hybrid maps in domestic cats with marker concordance and near-full genome coverage.

A radiation hybrid mapping panel for the rhesus macaque

Article Abstract:

The creation of 5000 rad radiation hybrid mapping panel for the rhesus macaque is described. The result of the mapping ability of the panel suggests that the panel represents a powerful mapping resource for generating high-density comparative maps.
