Mapping trait loci by use of infrared ancestral recombination graphs

Article Abstract:

A computationally efficient method for inferring genealogies from population genotype data is described and the use of these genealogies to fine map disease loci and interpret association signals is illustrated. This method gives increased accuracy in positioning untyped causative loci compared with simpler tests and is also used to estimate the frequencies of untyped causative alleles.

Efficient association mapping of quantitative trait loci with selective genotyping

Article Abstract:

The effects of genotypes and haplotypes on quantitative traits under selective-genotyping designs are assessed. The analysis has shown that the likelihood-based methods are very effective in identifying casual variants and are more powerful than the existing methods.
