Microbial populations associated with treatment of an industrial dye effluent in an anaerobic baffled reactor
Article Abstract:
Researchers discovered a wide variety of Bacteria and Archaea in an anaerobic baffled reactor for treating industrial dye waster. The microbial population included Proteobacteria, bacteria from the Cytophaga-Flexibacter-Bacteroides phylum, sulfate-reducing bacteria, and methanogens including Methanobacterium, Methanospirillum, and Methanomethylovorans hollandica.
