Limited regions of homology between linear and circular plasmids encoding methylenomycin biosynthesis in two independently isolated streptomycetes
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on pSV1 plasmid from Streptomyces violaceoruber SANK95570 which carries methylenomycin biosynthetic gene cluster. The authors suggest the possibility that this gene cluster has been transferred horizontally in the evolutionary past.

Increased exopolysaccharide production in Lactococcus lactis due to increased levels of expression of the NIZO B40 eps gene cluster
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on exopolysaccharides. The authors report that the homologous overexpression of Lactococcus lactis eps gene cluster increases exopolysaccharide production levels.
