Genetic characterization of Southwestern European bovine breeds: a historical and biogeographical reassessment with a set of 16 microsatellites

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on Iberian cattle origin. The authors have investigated the genetic data combined with the geographical positioning via the use of geostatistical models, and have characterized Portugues, Spanish and French cattle breeds for their genetic diversity.

Isozyme polymorphisms provide evidence in clinal variation with elevation in Nothofagus pumilio

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on genetic differentiation in tree species. The authors have tested the hypothesis that various growth forms of Nothofagus pumilio along elevated gradients demonstrate continuous genetic variation by means of isozymes, and they report the results.
