Pollen development and fertilization in Arabidopsis is dependent on the MALE GAMETOGENESIS IMPAIRED ANTHERS gene encoding a type V P-type ATpase
Article Abstract:
Pollen development and reproduction requires high secretory activity in another tissues and pollen, in flowering plants. With usage of Arabidopsis as a multicellular genetic model, it is identified that loss-of-function mutations in a gene belonging to the small P(sub 5) sub family of P-type ATPases is ubiquitous in eukaryotic organisms and also, single P(sub 5) ATPase is important in pollen development and male fertility.

The bromodomain protein GTE6 controls leaf development in Arabidopsis by histone acetylation at ASYMMETRIC LEAVES1
Article Abstract:
GENERAL TRANSCRIPTION FACTOR GROUP E6 (GTE6) regulates differences in leaf patterning between juvenile and mature leaves in Arabidopsis. GTE6 positively regulates the expression of ASYMMETRIC LEAVES1, which encodes a myb-domain protein that controls proximodistal patterning of leaves.

ASY1 mediates AtDMC1-dependent interhomolog recombination during meiosis in Arabidopsis
Article Abstract:
A study to investigate the chronology of meiotic recombination in wild type and ASY1 mutant, Arabidopsis protein is presented. Results show that ASY1 plays an important role in coordinating the activity of the RecA homologs to create a bias in favor of interhomolog recombination.
